President Obama Recently Praised Beyonce As The Perfect Role Model
“To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship. Beyoncé could not be a better role model for my girls because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent.” – President Obama, 18 September 2012.
As is already well buzzed about, Beyonce and Jay-Z had a lavish fundraiser for President Barack Obama this past Tuesday at the rapper’s NYC 40/40 Club. At $40,000 each x 100 guests = they raised $4 million dollars or enough money to run the government for 35 seconds. (The U.S. federal government spends $10 billion a day; $416 million an hour; $6.9 million a minute; $115,741 a second.)
Beyonce and Jay-Z Are The World’s Richest Celebrity Couple
Beyonce and Jay-Z’s reported combined net worth is $775 million, which makes them the richest celebrity couple in the world.
According to CelebrityNetWorth.com, the couple is “well on track to be the first celebrity couple to pass $1 billion status, especially considering that they bring home over $70 million a year.”
Beyonce and Jay-Z’s total net worth of $775 million could run the federal government for 1 hour and 52 minutes.
(aside: Do you really think there are enough “rich” people to foot this bill?)
President Obama describes Beyonce as “The Perfect Woman.” We believe Beyonce cares about her daughter’s, Blue Ivy Carter, future and wouldn’t knowingly run up a lot of bills and leave it for Blue Ivy to pay. Right? So we must conclude, much like Obama couldn’t tell David Letterman the other night how much America’s federal debt is, neither can Beyonce.
According to The White House Budget Report for 2012 (page 171), the federal government is estimated to spend $3.728 Trillion (while only receiving $2.6 trillion in taxes).
So it costs $10 billion a day to run the government, or
$416 million an hour, or
$6.9 million a minute.
